Thursday, Dec. 16 was the final day of a great week at Coatings+ 2021. We are looking forward to seeing everyone in March 2022 at the first AMPP Conference + Expo in San Antonio, Texas, where we will be bringing together the best of Coatings+ and the annual CORROSION conference.

AMPP Annual Conference + Expo Coming in March 2022
AMPP will hold its first annual conference under the association’s new name March 6-10, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas. From informative programs and workshops to exhibits and networking, this new conference will provide the very latest information on materials, corrosion and coating trends, best practices, and products.

Coatings+ Hosts Phil Calvo Memorial Golf Tournament
Many Coatings+ attendees began their week with a relaxing round of golf at the Phil Calvo Memorial Golf Tournament. The competitive event, which included awards for three winning teams, allowed numerous participants to play amid the McDowell Mountains at TPC Scottsdale’s renowned Champions Course.
Coatings+ Awards Luncheon Celebrates Industry Leaders
Many prestigious project and individual awards were presented at Coatings+ Annual Awards Luncheon. Congrats to all the winners! The prestigious event concluded with a ceremonial passing of the keys to AMPP and its new leaders.
After a technical paper presentation, speakers from Elzy Technology Corp. led a detailed and interactive workshop at Coatings+. Features included hands-on experiments and training for engineers, inspectors, coating formulators, and other coatings industry professionals.
Workshops Offer Overview of Coatings, Training Opportunities
Coatings 101 offered an overview of typical industrial protective coatings projects, including design considerations, material selection, surface preparation guides, ambient conditions, and basic quality control techniques. Meanwhile, just across the hall, other guests took advantage of a workshop aimed at helping attendees advance their careers with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Departments of Transportation (DoTs).
