Forums on topics such as “Electrochemical Techniques for Measuring Corrosion,” “Coating & Lining Failures,” and “Concrete Reinforcement: Metallic and Nonmetallic Options,” are among those offered on Sunday’s opening day of the AMPP Annual Conference + Expo.
Corrosion and Coatings PAC Hosts Breakfast with U.S. Rep. Troy Carter
The Corrosion and Coatings Political Action Committee (PAC) is hosting a breakfast event Monday featuring esteemed guest speaker Rep. Troy Carter, Sr. (D-LA). The event aims to gather industry professionals, policymakers, and enthusiasts to further the conversation around corrosion prevention and coatings policies.
AMPP’s annual industry conference has everything attendees valued from the legacy CORROSION and Coatings+ events, including technical exchange and innovation; standards and administrative meetings; networking activities, and an expo with hundreds of global exhibitors. In 2024, the week began with Friday’s AMPP Staff Summit, where board members and staff engaged in collaborative conversations while workshopping ideas for AMPP’s future.

Learn all the ins and outs of AMPP’s official conference app via these short demo videos, which show users how to download the app, log in, and navigate the technical program. Other features include information on organizing and saving event content; tips for exploring the full list of AMPP’s 2024 exhibitors; and networking opportunities. Sunday’s Workshops Help Kick Off AMPP Conference + Expo
Get your week off to a great start by attending at least one of AMPP’s informative workshops. Sunday’s presentations include the “Coatings 101 Workshop,” “Fall Protection Workshop,” and “Water Hammer, Water Main Breaks, CUI, SCC, and Explosions in Piping.”
AMPP Hosts Darrel D. Byerley & Phil Calvo Memorial Golf Tournament
Each year, Sunday’s tournament serves as an unofficial kickoff to AMPP’s week of activities! With proceeds benefiting the EMERG Student Outreach Program, players can enjoy a relaxing day of golf, all while networking with other AMPP attendees. The challenging Bayou Oaks South Course offers elevation changes and a variety of green complexes.
Call for Coatings at 2024 AMPP Annual Conference + Expo
The 2024 show includes many events for contractors and other professionals throughout the coatings industry. “Over the first couple years of the AMPP Annual Conference, we’ve gotten some feedback from contractors about how we can bring some content tied to them,” said Gregory Muha, director of conferences, exhibits, and sponsorships at AMPP.
