AMPP Helps to Introduce Legislation to Prevent Bridge Corrosion
U.S. Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) and U.S. Representatives John Garamendi (D-CA) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) recently introduced bipartisan legislation to strengthen standards for federally funded infrastructure projects by ensuring that critical corrosion prevention work is done by qualified workers using proven techniques.
Some of the H.R. 4064/S.1932 Bridge Corrosion Prevention and Repair Act of 2023 will require corrosion planning and training for all federal investments in bridge construction, repair, and maintenance projects. This bill will create legislative safeguards for federal investment in bridge construction, protect the environment, and enhance public safety in the future.
