Sign Up Now to Participate in Legislative Day: June 20 - 21, 2023 

You can make a difference in just one day in the materials protection industry! Join us for AMPP Legislative Day 2023 in Washington D.C. to share the message of corrosion control and coatings protection with key legislators. Now, more than ever, every member of Congress needs to understand how important corrosion control and materials protection is to public safety and the U.S. economy.

Your outreach will be a critical step in building ongoing relationships with legislators and their staff and will go a long way toward boosting AMPP's advocacy efforts.

The AMPP 2023 legislative priorities include:

• Passing the Bridge Corrosion Prevention and Repair Act, through both Chambers of Congress.
• Developing best practices and standards that prevent corrosion of important water and wastewater assets and renewable energy assets, including offshore wind.
• Supporting the Department of Defense Office of Corrosion Policy & Oversight (CPO).
• Building our Congressional Corrosion Prevention Caucus so lawmakers and regulators are informed of the importance of corrosion control.
• H.R. 1477/S. 722, The Freedom to Invest in Tomorrow’s Workforce Act, – a bill that would allow the use of funds in a qualified tuition program (a 529 account) to pay for expenses associated with obtaining or maintaining recognized postsecondary credentials. We will ask for members from both Chambers to cosponsor this important initiative.

Registration for the event is free, which includes a pre-event reception on June 20 and a dinner on June 21. All U.S.-based AMPP members are invited and encouraged to attend. Hotel and transportation costs for this event are not covered by AMPP.)

AMPP South Texas Chapter

The 10th Annual AMPP "Hooked on Education" Saltwater Fishing Tournament was held at Marker 37 in Corpus Christi, TX, on May 5, 2023, to benefit the AMPP South Texas Chapter Scholarship Program. This successful event brought together 23 teams, totaling 92 anglers, and supportive sponsors, demonstrating their shared passion for education and the angling community.
