AMPP Team Ramps Up Advocacy Efforts
Advocacy efforts are essential for AMPP because they enable the organization to protect and promote the interests of its industry, influence policies and regulations, educate stakeholders, support research and innovation, and address industry challenges. These efforts ultimately contribute to the industry's growth, safety, and sustainability.
The Government Relations Team is working on several actions to better inform members of ongoing advocacy efforts and is creating a plan to engage members in active advocacy activities. Other updates from the team include:
Government Affairs/Advocacy Webpage: The Government Affairs webpage is being updated for quick access to legislative information and engagement opportunities. A new advocacy website and toolkit will boost local advocacy efforts globally, making engagement effectively easier.
Congress Recess: The U.S. Congress is on recess until after Labor Day. Upon return, Congress will focus on avoiding a projected government shutdown that could occur at the end of September.
Your Path to Certification Just Got Easier: Schedule Practice Exams in Your Portal
AMPP is committed to improving based on your feedback, and we’ve heard that you want a more efficient process to purchase and schedule Certification Practice Exams. We hear you and we’re happy to announce that certification practice exams are now available for purchase through your My Certification Portal.
CIP 1, CIP 2, CP1, and CP2 Practice Exams can be found by logging in to your portal, clicking on Schedule/Manage Exams, and then selecting your desired Practice Exam. This enhanced purchasing process makes the exam available for you to schedule the online proctored exam immediately. We’re excited to help you learn and grow on your schedule and implement improvements to our systems based on your feedback!

The AMPP NorCal Chapter conducted its Annual Picnic at East Bay Municipal Utility District’s Lafayette Reservoir Recreational Area on June 9th, 2023. All AMPP members, families, and friends were invited to join the special event.
