Artificial intelligence (AI) will lead to a promising future and is not to be feared, renowned physicist Dr. Michio Kaku told a packed house in his keynote speech at AMPP’s 2024 conference. Targeting his message with references to corrosion and the future of construction, the professor of theoretical physics presented his vision of a future paved by AI and nanotechnology.
AMPP Looks to Establish Targets in Materials Sustainability
In Monday’s “Implementing Successful Material Sustainability and Material Stewardship Practices” symposia and forum, a panel of global experts offered advice on incorporating sustainable practices in the corrosion control and protective coatings industries.

Despite effects from severe rain leading up to the Expo Grand Opening (sponsored by Sherwin-Williams), AMPP 2024 is still on with a full show floor. After a slightly delayed start on Monday, the Exhibit Hall opened for regular business hours on Tuesday and Wednesday. The building is safe, and over 380 exhibitors from across the globe are excited to welcome attendees.
